The Ark Project is ambitious because of the wide-ranging partnerships that it is developing and because of its aim of engaging people positively with issues of climate change through collaboration between artists and scientists.

The legacy of the project will, include the following:

• Artistic expressions by children will successfully communicate environmental science messages.
• Dialogue will be established between children and representatives from industry and the public sector to ensure that their views are considered seriously.
• Project partners across various sectors will build on the creative opportunities that have been established through working together.
• CIAO! will share its findings on the collaborative model that it has developed for this project.
• The Ark Project will be replicated in other locations with CIAO! providing a 'manual' for engagement with arts, science and education partners.
• People engaged with the project will choose to change their lifestyle and behaviours to reduce carbon emissions and live more sustainably.

The evaluation of the Ark Project and a film documenting the process will also be available to be shared with interested parties.
